From financial services and investment firms to accountants, consultants and other professional organisations, your workplace needs to create the right impression while supporting the people who use it every day.
ReSpace delivers financial and professional services office fit outs and refurbishments, creating high quality workplaces designed around your team, clients and the way your business operates. From reception areas and meeting rooms to open plan workspaces, private offices, breakout areas and staff facilities, every element can be planned to make better use of the available space.
For businesses where client experience, privacy and professionalism are particularly important, careful consideration also needs to be given to acoustics, meeting spaces, technology, lighting and the quality of finishes throughout the workplace.
Whether you're moving into new premises, expanding an existing office or undertaking a complete refurbishment, our experienced team can manage the project from initial design and space planning through to construction and completion.
GIC, a long-standing client, approached us with a request to enhance the kitchen space in their London office.
Office Kitchen Refurbishment, Marylebone, London
The relocation of staff from the 1st and 2nd floors to the ground floor brought about concerns, primarily due to noise from the existing kitchen and breakout space, as well as layout issues caused by the increase in staff. Our task was to undertake professional office space planning, making it more functional and aesthetically pleasing, to create an inviting environment that would improve the overall experience for the team.
Office fit outs for financial and professional services firms
Professional workplaces have to balance a wide range of requirements. Teams need comfortable and practical spaces to work, while meeting rooms, reception areas and other client facing spaces need to reflect the quality and professionalism of the organisation.

Workspaces built around people, clients and privacy
Financial and professional services offices often need to accommodate several different ways of working within the same environment.
Open plan workspaces may sit alongside private offices, confidential meeting rooms, collaborative areas and client facing spaces. Good office design and space planning helps bring these requirements together, making efficient use of the available floor area without compromising privacy or comfort.
Acoustic performance can be particularly important. Glass partitions and acoustic rated meeting rooms can provide privacy while maintaining light and openness across the wider office. Careful planning of power, data and audiovisual systems can also ensure meeting rooms and workspaces support hybrid meetings and modern working practices.
Reception spaces, kitchens and breakout areas provide another opportunity to improve the working environment and reinforce the quality of the business, using considered materials, lighting, furniture and finishes to create a professional but welcoming workplace.
Proven experience in financial and professional services
ReSpace has delivered office fit outs and refurbishments for organisations operating across financial and professional services, including Citywire, GIC and Eddisons.
One of our larger projects involved creating additional office and studio space for Citywire in Vauxhall, London. Following continued business growth, Citywire secured approximately 600m² of additional space and appointed ReSpace to deliver the new workplace as a complete Cat B design and build project.
The project brought together space planning, office partitioning, mechanical and electrical installations, bespoke joinery, acoustic treatments, furniture, IT infrastructure, audiovisual systems and interior finishes. Flexible work areas, collaborative spaces and breakout areas were incorporated alongside branding and other design details to create a workplace suited to the company's growing team.

The existing office covered approximately 900 square metres, but the company's expansion plans required leasing more space locally. In 2018, CLS Holdings completed a new build development directly across the street from Citywire's existing office. This development included student accommodation, a hotel, and commercial offices, presenting an ideal opportunity for Citywire to secure additional space. Consequently, Citywire leased 600 square metres of additional office and studio space to accommodate their growing needs.
Our wider professional services experience also includes the refurbishment of Eddisons' Canary Wharf office for Begbies Traynor Group, where ReSpace created a new kitchen and breakout area alongside two acoustic rated meeting rooms.
For GIC in London, our team completed a focused office refurbishment within a one week programme, redesigning the kitchen and breakout area to improve the layout and create a more practical environment for an increased number of staff.
Together, these projects demonstrate our ability to deliver everything from targeted workplace improvements to larger financial and professional services office fit outs.

Complete office fit out and refurbishment services
Financial and professional services projects can involve a wide range of individual trades and requirements. ReSpace provides a coordinated approach, bringing these together through one experienced project team.
Depending on the scope, works can include office design and space planning, strip out, partitioning and drylining, acoustic partitions, suspended ceilings, commercial flooring, lighting, electrical installations, data and communications infrastructure, plumbing, decoration, bespoke joinery, kitchens, meeting rooms, furniture and final finishes.
For businesses moving into new commercial premises, our Cat A fit out and Cat B fit out capabilities allow us to take a space through the different stages required to create a completed workplace ready for your team.
Refurbishments around your business
For financial and professional services organisations, closing an office for an extended period is rarely practical. Refurbishment programmes therefore need to be carefully planned around staff, clients and the continued operation of the business.
Depending on the project, works can be phased across different areas of the office or programmed around periods when parts of the workplace can be made available. Clear planning of trades, deliveries and individual stages helps minimise disruption while keeping the project moving.
This approach is equally valuable for smaller refurbishments and larger workplace transformations, allowing improvements to be delivered while considering the day to day needs of the people already using the building.
