Veincentre - Nationwide Cat B Healthcare Fit Outs
Veincentre, a nationwide leader in multiple vein treatments, has been rapidly expanding, regularly introducing new clinics across the UK.
Since 2021, ReSpace has partnered with Veincentre, completing over 20 successful clinic fit outs across the UK with several new projects in the pipeline. This case study highlights some of the work we've delivered as a leading commercial refurbishment contractor in core locations such as Tunbridge Wells and London.
As part of our Cat B fit out for Veincentre, we include comprehensive site management services, covering everything from ongoing supervision and project management to health & safety administration, site setup, welfare facilities, and waste removal.
Our approach to working with Veincentre and their nationwide fit outs
Each Veincentre clinic fit out follows a comprehensive and detailed brief to ensure consistency and quality across all locations. Below is a typical brief for one of their centres:
Strip Out:
We expertly handle the strip out phase, removing existing partitions and finishes as required, disposing of waste materials in compliance with current waste management directives. We strip out worktops and comms cabinets within proposed utility rooms, retaining patch panels for reuse and disposing of oversized comms cabinets. Connections with multiple subcontractors covering all trades means we can also cover strip out works involving electrics, plumbing, HVAC and MORE if required.
Partitions, Decoration, Doors & Ceilings:
Our team installs plasterboard partitions with 50mm metal frameworks, single skin wallboards on both sides, and fibreglass acoustic insulation. Treatment rooms receive double boarding with foil-faced insulation within the ceiling void giving a high level of acoustic performance for privacy purposes. Treatment room partitions finished with Diamond Matt Emulsion for a smooth, durable surface. We also install solid core paint grade door blanks and ensure all woodwork is finished to a high standard with white eggshell paint.
Electrics, Lighting and Data:
We provide comprehensive electrical solutions, including the installation of double switched sockets, a new fire alarm system, and emergency lighting. We often adapt existing lighting to suit the new proposed layouts, saving the client money where we can. With the install of a new data rack and network cabling Veincentre are ready to go from day one, running data ports to the reception desk and client WAP points in treatment rooms and reception areas.
Flooring:
Our fit out includes the install of 37m² of Polyflor Homogeneous 2000 PUR Shadow 8150 heavy duty contract floor vinyl within treatment rooms, with cap and coved skirting. We prep existing floors substrates with plylining, latex and/or feather latex as necessary, ensuring a seamless finish after removing existing flooring.
Plumbing:
We install medical grade treatment room sinks and tap sets to treatment rooms, mounted on a clean and clinical IPS panel system. A utility sink with sprayer washer is installed for cleaning purposes, with all associated plumbing works taken care of. We manage wastewater with gravity-fed systems or macerator pumps as needed, boxing in pipework with MDF and decorating to match the surroundings.
Kitchen:
Staff rooms are equipped with kitchens that include base and wall units, a fridge, sink with drainer, tap set, and waste water pump, providing a fully functional and comfortable environment for staff.
Cubicle Curtains:
Each treatment room changing area is fitted with cubicle curtains for privacy and convenience.
Hygienic Cladding:
We install 1000mm high hygienic cladding in specified locations to ensure a clean and sterile environment, essential for healthcare settings.
Storage:
Larder units are installed in treatment rooms, providing ample storage solutions tailored to the clinic's needs.
The successful partnership between Veincentre and ReSpace highlights our adaptability and reliability as refurbishment contractors. With ongoing projects and new clinics in the pipeline, we continue to be a trusted partner for fit out projects for them and other businesses across Tunbridge Wells, London, and beyond.
